Virginia Checks Out:
One day my cousin, a registered nurse, called. She told me that my mothers Alzheimer-Dementia was getting worse. Sherry thought it would be about 90 to 120 days until she passed. I had seen her memory failing and my stepfather recounted how she had been acting out.
This gave me some time to spend with my mom and observe her decline. Alzheimer’s is a very destructive disease that not only works on the brain but the body and self as well.
The song Virginia Checks Out recounts my observation of this sweet, strong woman’s decline. When I play it in public I can see some people listen with special interest and have had several folks tell me they had gone through the same thing. Have a listen…

Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures.
